Further to a note that was delivered to all homes in Monaloe over the weekend, the proposed protest to Dail Eireann this Wednesday, 28th of February has been cancelled due to weather concerns.
This protest was organised by the students and the Parents Assoc of Clonkeen College and we were very anxious that residents in Monaloe who are against the sale of the playing fields would give it every support.
The protest will now take place on Wednesday 7th of March. Further information will be published here at the weekend. If we are not all snowed under!!

Hi I’m so sorry to use this for something unrelated but I’m not sure what else to do. I live on Monaloe Park Road. Both of our cats have gone missing. They are 2 young males about 9 months old, one black, one black and white. Black and white one vanished on a Saturday morning the 31st of March and the other just yesterday morning the 15th of April. We have searched all over the place including looking for them on the main roads but have seen nothing. I have a feeling someone must have taken them into their house as there is no sign of them outside anywhere. I have not really knocked on doors yet but I’m going to have to unless there is something the residents association can do something to circulate the message? It is very upsetting for us and especially for my little girl who has now lost her two cats. Please let me know if anyone hears anything or spots them around. Just praying they have not fallen into the wrong hands . Thanks so much, Gina
